“WIB at the Company House” – live painting on Thursday, Dec 20, 2009. 7:30-11pm [As every third Thursday of the month at the Company House]

This is a live painting from the Christmas SPEAK! Izreal the host is even wearing a Santa suit, despite the warmth of the room. The heat was obviously turned up in defiance of the cold outside. And how often do I get to paint a guy playing the ukulele? Joi N. Payne’s poetry collection was excellent. I’ve waited months to hear a new poem from her.

There was a blizzard and snow blowing down the street and the wind was bitter cold. Only those who were keenly interested in a night of poetry braved the elements to be there. Who will brave the elements and cold for some words?

It kept snowing the entire time the event moved forward. I wanted to get a bit further back in the room and get more of the audience into the piece. I like the end result.
