“Death of the Dollar” – Acrylic on stretched canvas. 16″x20″. 2007
One day, the Dollar died.
Some men still raised their hands crying, “Sell! Sell!” but they were in denial.
There was no one who wanted to buy.
Someone raised his hands to his head and screamed louder than Edvard Munch.
Men and women clung to their symbolic wealth.
Shadowy figures watched us all ominously under the wing of Mammon.
Oh gods… is it happening again?

I hope you don’t mind, I borrowed this amazing piece for a recent post on the actual death of the dollar.
